Testimonials

“I am a Canadian track and field athlete, based in Calgary, AB. I have been racing as a member of the Canadian National Team for four years thus far, and plan to represent Canada at the London 2017 World Championships, and at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. I reached out to Ash in 2016, after bringing home three medals (1G, 1S, 1B) for Canada at the 21016 U23 NACAC Championships in El Salvador. Upon my return to Calgary, I began searching for a new strength coach as I felt that the strength aspect of my athletic ability had been largely untapped up to this point. As I spoke to fellow elite athletes, Ash's name repeatedly surfaced. His international coaching experience, successes, and reputation led me to interview, test, and ultimately recruit him to my support team. I have already made significant improvements in my strength, and this has corresponded to faster, more consistent results on the track. I am looking forward to representing Canada in the near future, and I know that this achievement will be thanks to, in large, Ash's professional work with me. I would be remiss to lose such a vital member of my team. I have confidence that with Ash's coaching directives, I will continue to improve upon my athletic abilities, and represent Canada competitively on the world stage.”

“ Since we started training with Ash strength has never been more enjoyable. He always has our improvement as the biggest focus. He is super positive and motivating when we're training with him. He gives us all so much guidance and has taught us so much in the little time he's been our trainer. The improvement I've seen in my self and my teammates in the short time is amazing and I wish we had the chance to work with Ash sooner!”

— Halle Pratt - Team Canada

“Working with Ash pushed me to new levels of strength in the short time we were able to work together during my time off from hockey. Ash's dedication and knowledge was evident in the program and help he gave me when training with him or on my own. It was a pleasure to work with Ash and I look forward to returning to train with him during my next summer break!”

“Ash became the official strength training coach of Watt Riot Cycling in the fall of 2016. Watt Riot Cycling is Alberta’s only Elite Women’s Road and Track Cycling team. We chose to work with Ash exclusively based on high recommendations and seeing firsthand the successes our Mountain rider Kara Lilly saw working with Ash preparing for 24 Hours of Adrenaline in 2016. Ash has worked with our cyclists on core strength, explosive power, and balance to complement their on bike training. Our riders have attributed the following successes to their work with Ash in the last year”

“ Team Alberta tandem pilot Erin Ruttan began strength training with Ash in the fall of 2016. Their main focus has been on core strengthening and explosive power to complement Erin’s on bike training. Since working with Ash, I have noticed improvement in Erin’s ability to balance and drive the tandem. Erin’s recent testing shows drastic improvement in her top end power, which can be directly attributed to her work with Ash over the winter. I look forward to further improvement as Erin continues to work with Ash.”
